MacGillivray will be taking part in the Terry Fox walk during the afternoon of Thursday, September 26.  

This year’s campaign, called #NoMatterWhat celebrates Terry’s determination and persistence. When running his Marathon of Hope in 1980 he faced many challenges along the way, but he kept going – no matter the obstacles, no matter the journey, no matter the odds - NO MATTER WHAT.

If possible, students are asked to bring in a Toonie For Terry.  You are also welcome to donate at the link posted below.  All donations go to the Terry Fox Foundation

HOT LUNCHES ARE BACK!

Great news parents - hot lunches are back at MacGillivray! Starting Friday September 20, 2024, we 
will be offering Subway, Booster Juice & Dominos weekly.

**NEW THIS YEAR we will have Boston Pizza & 
Mucho Burrito once a month.**

Our first lunch is MUCHO BURRITO! Order cut offs are September 15 @ midnight. Anything ordered after the cut-off time may (most likely) result in your child not receiving their order.

Orders can be placed on the Healthy Hunger website (https://healthyhunger.ca/).

You will need to register each child separately to place a lunch order. Please see the attached 
info sheet from Healthy Hunger for additional information.

We WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY LATE ORDERS OR CASH.

** Please also note that we will be adopting the same policies as last year regarding Late Arrival 
& Absent Students. We will NOT be saving Absent Students Lunches. We understand that many absences are unplanned, however, our students are in our best interest & food quality/safety is a concern.

- Lunches from absent students will be donated to those who need a lunch or given to a sibling (as 
requested – please email by 10am on the day of lunch).

-Students who arrive by noon (12pm) on lunch days will still have their lunch saved for them.

We have exciting news!  

Ukulele Kids is returning to MacGillivray for Grades 1 through 6.  This is an optional program that students must be registered for.  Please see the attached flyers and a short YouTube video.

Online registration begins Friday, September 20.

Winter is fast approaching (YIKES!) so what better time to hold a fundraiser for gift wrap, giftware, kitchen essentials and accessories! 

A catalog will also be coming home with each student.  Check it out and share with family and friends.  All orders must be completed online and before November 2, 2024.

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming next week!

November 4 until November 8

Parents Night is November 6 from 4pm to 7pm

Students will have an opportunity to visit the bookfair during the

day with their classes.

All purchases benefit our school!  Thank you for supporting our school

and our library!

Our Annual Food and Toy drive to support Bethesda House is here.  If you can, please send in a new toy, gift card, or nonperishable food item.  Our school Goal is to gather 1000 objects!

We will be collecting items until December 10^th.
